From the incoming news I’m getting I do believe I called it correctly when I mentioned not to be quick to celebrate in regards to the Iraqi government coming to an agreement. As I previously said, the local Baghdad news stations were not airing anything while the Western news media was reporting on PM Maliki. My analysis was spot on and all those other gurus and ‘the poser’ were once again, sadly mistaken. But what else is new?
Just so you know from now until 11 Nov or 12 Nov (when the Iraqi Parliament tentative meets) there are going to be numerous meetings between the political blocs. Just so you are aware, It is not set in stone that the Iraqi Parliament is going to meet at the end of the week. This meeting will only take place when all political groups have agreed on the Parliament Speaker, President, and Prime Minister. The one catch here is, even if they all somehow agree you shouldn’t get a head of yourselves and assume much because the Parliament, when convened could still change their votes and thereby create another crisis in the government.
