Prime Minister Nuri Maliki has instituted a curfew in the Baghdad area of Iraq from the hours of 10pm to 5am. With this new curfew in place, the residents in Baghdad are limited in regards to their movements in the city. Prime Minister Maliki is continuing with his house raids in the Sunni neighborhoods. This is all in attempts to try to identify people who are associated with the Iraq State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) who have vowed to attack Baghdad. Food prices are continuing to skyrocket in Baghdad. Electricity is still at a high premium in Baghdad costing residents about $250 a month for a private generator.
Social Media with the exception of Facebook have been blocked by the Iraqi government.
