The Iraqi Air Force has just received their first F-16 Block 52 fighter jets from Lockheed Martin. The F-16 is the first of the 36 that are scheduled to arrive at an Iraqi Air Force Base near Baghdad. The U.S. government is supporting Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki or else the delivery of the first fighter jet would have never occurred.
Update: The picture is of the actual F-16 Iraqi fighter jet 1 of 36 that will be delivered to Iraq very soon. In media reports, the schedule for the delivery is scheduled for September 2014. If I led you to believe that the first Iraqi F-16 fighter Jet has already arrived in Iraq this is pre-mature and I apologize.
