To this day, Iraq remains under U.N. Chapter VII.
There are three files left that need to be closed in order for the Chapter VII to be lifted from Iraq. The three files are:
1. Weapons of Mass destruction
2. Oil for Food Program
3. The Kuwaiti Files
The Iraq government has been working to close each of the remaining three files and will be closing them very shortly. The problem is the lack of a governing body to settle each of the files and negotiate with the government of Kuwait on border disputes and other issues. The United Nations is placing everything on hold until the Iraqi political blocs can agree on a government. The upcoming U.N. meetings in regards to Iraq will be just a formality if the government still has not been formed and may even cancel the U.N. meeting altogether.

American Contractor New Post!!
Friday, 17 September 2010
The Al-Iraqiyah List is announcing a limit on powers of the future Prime Minister. The limits would include decisions of the security file and any collective decision making in discharging the duties of the Prime Minister. The Iraq National Alliance (INA) have refused to compromise on the powers of the Prime Minister. The Al-Iraqiyah List leader, Jamal al-Battikh told AL-Hayat News: “The Al-Iraqiyah List will make every effort to ensure the non-repetition of the current government experience in terms of the Phenomenon of the concentration of power on the hands of the Prime Minister. Al-Battikh cont. “Over the past four years, the Prime Minister has become more powerful than the Parliament and the President of the Republic.”
Parliament Salary freeze? Maybe!
I would like to report that there is something positive happening
in Iraq and within the government, I guess its better late than
never. The Deputy Governor Zamili has asked the National
Coalition to freeze the government salaries of the Presidency,
Council of Ministers, and all Parliament members. I am sure this
will get their attention and maybe they will start acting like
elected officials and start showing up for work. The Parliament
members monthly salary is 30k USD a month, with that kind of
income you would think they would be eager to go to the
Parliament building.
PM Maliki: Kurds Support and GCC Countries Too
The head of Iraq’s Kurdistan region Massoud Barzani said he told
the leader of the Iraqi List, Iyad Allawi, Ammar al-Hakim, to
support the PKK and its support for Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri
al-Maliki for prime minister for a second term.
American Contractor misquoted
***I would like to address this quote from a Dinar related web
site posted on 5 September 2010:
“I heard from (name edited) about an hour ago that American Contractor, who has constantly been a naysayer regarding the imminence of the RV/RI, has been quoted as saying on (website) that in fact the RV has already occurred in Baghdad. While I sincerely hope this is true, I’m a bit skeptical and suspect that American Contractor has mistaken the issuance of the small denominated notes to the banks for the RV itself. In any case, neither (name edited) nor I can confirm this at this time.”

The Kurds are siding with PM Nuri Al-Maliki
The Kurdish Regional President has said that his political party
is now going to back PM Nuri Al-Maliki, for a second term as
Prime Minister. This message was conveyed to Dr. Iyad Allawi by
Massoud Barzani the Kurdish Regional President. This is good
news, for the Kurds because they are no longer sitting on the
fence and a decision has been made.
Iraq’s Banking Industry
Security and the lack of a functioning government is affecting
all sectors within Iraq including the banking industry. The U.S.
State Department is bringing in 15 U.S. companies to Iraq in an
attempt to obtain business contracts and partnerships in Iraq.

lower denominations being issued in Baghdad. Many of you know my
position about this subject, there are no lower denominations in
