It is possible that there will be a sharing of power between Dr. Iyad Allawi and Adil abd-al-Mahdi, who is a leading member in the Iraqi Islamic Supreme council (IISC). The term will be two years each however, now they have to decide who will be first to take the two years when already they have waisted six months. No other media has mentioned anything about this meeting until today. Just pointing this out that your getting at least from me the most accurate information and analysis about Iraq and at times ahead of the print media. In this instance it is four days before the press media published the Damascus meet.

A lot of great stories on the web today in reference to Iraq. As you know Dr. Iyad Allawi, is in Russia as he was invited by the Russian President to visit and discuss the political drama that is going on inside Iraq. The Russians also wanted to talk about energy. Dr. Allawi also met with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, to discuss energy cooperation between the two countries. Also in attendance was officials from the Crescent Petroleum. This is very positive between these two countries along with the UAE energy firm to establish potential partnerships in Iraq.
Slowly but surely the Iraq private banking industry is getting more mature and building value with a possible new Turkish bank branch in Erbil, Iraq. Officials have said the bank should be open by the end of the year. As you all know the Central of Bank as issued an order for the banking industry to increase their reserves and to think about merges with other banks foreign or domestic. A lot of the Iraqi banks are family owned we are still waiting to see if any banks merge for the better.

The celebration of Ramadan continues as you see the Iraqi people only working an average of three hours a day. The government workers when the clock strikes 11 AM they are gone.
General Electric and Iraq
I had mentioned that General Electric, GE was not currently in Iraq and I am going to explain briefly why they will not be in the near future. First, news reports mention the future project of GE coming into Iraq and not necessarily saying they are currently in Iraq because they are not. Positive articles however, not necessarily the most accurate.
The government power grid operates in a way that most people don’t even know or realize. The electricity for most Iraqi’s operate only a few hours a day if they are so fortunate to have the government power grid at their residence. When the government power grid shuts off for them then it moves to a different section of the city or province and giving those residents electricity for a few hours. Than after a few hours more the government power grid moves a different part of the city or province and repeats itself throughout the day. This is how the government electrical grid operates in Iraq.

Meet in Syria after Ramadan
I have stated that there will be no government formed during Ramadan. This is true. It looks like a very important meeting will be held in Damascus, Syria with all the wining political blocs. The only person that will not get an invite is the out going Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki. This meeting has the backing of Arabs and Turkey. They say they want to end the crisis of forming a government without any Iranian or U.S. Influence.
