Meet in Syria after Ramadan
I have stated that there will be no government formed during Ramadan. This is true. It looks like a very important meeting will be held in Damascus, Syria with all the wining political blocs. The only person that will not get an invite is the out going Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki. This meeting has the backing of Arabs and Turkey. They say they want to end the crisis of forming a government without any Iranian or U.S. Influence.
The four scenarios are proposed at this upcoming meeting:
First: Formation of a government without al-Maliki made up of the Kurds (58 seats), Allawi (91 seats), Al-Hakim (71 seats) that is half plus one.
Second: Formation of a transitional government of a political nature led by Allawi’s Al-Iraqiyah List on condition that the winners in the elections participate in it.
Third: A government of national salvation of a military nature led by the winning bloc
Fourth: The U.N. Intervention in forming the Iraqi government and forcing all the blocs to accept the U.S. And U.N. Conditions.
The U.S. Is backing al-Maliki because of his willing to overlook things such as the SOFA agreement. Al-Malki signed the agreement without having a referendum and other things.
The New Iraq Budget
It was just published in the news about the Iraq budget that could total around 90 trillion Iraq dinars. Do not get all excited since they have no Iraq Parliament to vote on next years budget. All the talk is pointless. All the work they will have to redo.
The General Electric Contract
GE will not set foot in Iraq anytime soon. The Iraqi government does not have the mechanism to tabulate the cost of electricity per Iraqi citizen. When most are running generators personal and commercial how is the Ministry going to charge you for the electricity when they don’t even know. I will explain this more later.
As always more to follow…
